Formerly senior counsel and partner at the Law Firm of Nixon Peabody, Attorney Gorney has represented both individual and corporate clients in all aspects of civil litigation with a focus on commercial law. While at Nixon Peabody, Attorney Gorney was the Chairman of the Commercial Law Department as well as Chairman and Member of the Executive Committee. Attorney Gorney’s extensive legal experience includes representing both creditors and debtors in multi-million dollar Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings. Outside of the courtroom, Mr. Gorney has lectured on business and property law at Assumption College in Worcester, MA and contributed to a number of legal publications and journals. As a trained arbitrator and mediator, Attorney Gorney has a great deal of experience in alternative dispute resolution. He has worked as both a mediator and arbitrator for Mediation Works, Inc. in Boston as well as the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulations.
