Welch Veterinary Clinic has been in Wetumpka for 38 years. Our new facility has been proclaimed to be in the top 2 Veterinary facilities in the state by the Veterinary Hospital inspectors.

The reception area in the Welch Veterinary Clinic is impeccably maintained and we are always warmly greeted (by name) immediately then seen soon thereafter--which consistently has been the case for over a year. This aspect is especially important because one never wants to be left waiting for an inordinate amount of time thereby exposing others (or being exposed) to an ill animal. Nevertheless, Dr Welch's clinical expertise is absolutely excellent. While in Dr Welch's care, our elderly, previously lame dog actually thrived--running, playing, eating and sleeping better than my family had seen in quite some time. Also, Dr Welch provided emergency and follow-up care for another dog who had sustained a severe eye injury serious enough to require referral to a specialist in Birmingham--who informed us that without question, Dr Welch's outstanding care had saved the eye. We greatly appreciate the time Dr Welch spends with us; carefully teaching, listening then answering all our questions. Dr Welch explains all available treatment options, thereby allowing us to make the best, informed choice with regards to finances and other concerns. Dr Welch's office staff has always worked hard to accomodate last-minute requests for acute care, thereby saving the additional costs of emergent care. His staff is friendly and helpful, and has never complained when I've brought in both of my dogs when only one had an appointment. This clinic is beautiful, clean and conveniently located with ample parking, and has our highest recommendation.
