Founded in 1980, the Weston Fire & Rescue Department offers a range of emergency support services. It provides fire protection solutions for an area of more than 55 square miles, including the Village of Weston and the Village of Malmo in Nebraska. The department has a team of over 35 members. The Weston Fire & Rescue Department s apparatus includes vans, tanks and pumps. It also maintains a hydraulic ram that can displace dashboards and steering columns. The department offers training sessions in controlling and containing wild land fires. The Weston Fire & Rescue Department additionally operates a fire school that provides classes in fire ground command and water and basic rope rescue.
