  The main floor of the home is covered with European white oak flooring with a beautiful inset base detail.  Ceilings on both levels carry from the interior to the exterior maintaining the same elevation for a seamless look. The stone veneer on the exterior also carries through to the interior keeping the seamless interior-to-exterior look and feel.  The multi slide glass doors throughout the home open into hidden pockets making them invisible when opened.  The family room completely opens to the pool and outdoor kitchen area for a great entertaining spot.  Windows and glass doors throughout have automated draperies and roller shades.

  As you know, Kathy and I travel extensively throughout Europe on a very regular basis. When we do, we believe in treating ourselves to the finer hotels as our business back home often requires extended travel to areas where such amenities simply do not exist. The other day while shaving, I glanced over to the Jacuzzi tub you installed and, frankly, marveled at the precise, and careful, tile work, the marvelous woodworking accents, and the genuinely unique overall design that you undertook to create a small piece of heaven right in our home. It was, to be certain, as though I had just walked into a suite at the Grand Hotel in Rome.

  In the master bedroom, there is a TV that drops down from the ceiling and is completely gone from site when off.  The master bedroom also has a fireplace inside as well as one on the master bedroom deck.  The showers throughout the home have full stone slabs on the walls and ceilings and are all book matched so the grain of the stone continues from wall to wall.  One of most beautiful features of this home is the 25 foot long by 13 foot wide barrel skylight which brings in incredible light to the main areas of the home.

  The president of the company, Steven Margolis, has 30 years of experience in the construction industry. His first five years were spent running and coordinating hotel additions and renovations for the company who owned Ramada and Howard Johnson hotel chains, and many Sheraton and Marriott hotels. This experience covered twenty-four cities and eight states. He then came back to Los Angeles to start StarCon. Steve’s  attention to detail, organizational skills, and his creativity, are what has helped make StarCon the successful company that it is today.

  Gary Murphy is StarCon’s project superintendent and has been with us since our inception. His 32 years of experience enables him to anticipate potential problems, and gives him the foresight to schedule construction projects smoothly. His skills are many and diverse. He is a master framer and carpenter as well as an expert tile installer. Some of his other talents include window and door installation, drywall, plumbing, roofing, masonry, concrete forming, setting structural steel, and diagnosing water intrusion problems. Gary is well liked and respected by our subcontractors.
