Lee Burneson Middle School serves students in grades seven and eight. The school provides a variety of academic, cocurricular and extracurricular activities for students. It offers a student-centered academic interdisciplinary learning lab program for gifted students. Lee Burneson Middle School provides advanced classes and a range of special elective courses, such as foreign languages, forensics, chess, drama and math counts. Its academic curriculum includes art, computer applications, math, reading, science, technology, social studies, and health and physical education. The school also operates a guidance and counseling department for parents, students and teachers. It offers a variety of sports activities, such as volleyball, swimming, cheerleading, basketball, baseball and tennis. Lee Burneson Middle School is a part of Westlake City Schools.
