  Implant treatment is usually performed by a general dentist, oral surgeon, prosthodontist, periodontist or a team of these doctors. To devise the best treatment plan for you, we first complete a medical and dental history and a thourough oral examination, including x-rays.

• Teeth Cleaning
  A thorough oral examination, including x-rays, is crucial to diagnosing periodontal disease. In most cases, we recommend an in-office exam and tooth cleaning for all adults twice a year. At that time, we may use a special instrument called a periodontal probe to measure the depth of the pocket between the tooth and the gum tissue. The pocket depth measurement, clinical examination and x-rays help us determine the precise location, extent and severity of gum disease.
• Dental Sealants
  Sealants are a white or tooth shaded material that is bonded to the chewing surfaces of the back teeth, sealing off deep grooves and pits. This makes the grooves of the teeth smoother so your toothbrush can more easily keep the tooth clean.

• Resin Composite
  To begin a bonding procedure, we treat the tooth with special enamel conditioner to roughen the enamel surface and allow the bonding material to adhere. A composite resin is then applied and shaped to match the contour of your natural tooth. The surface of the composite is then restored to the tooth's natural shape and polished to achieve a natural luster and appearance.
• Veneers
  A porcelain veneer is indicated when a portion of the front surface of the tooth needs a "face lift." Similar to composite bonding, veneers are attached directly to the existing tooth structure. We treat the surface of the tooth with a special conditioner to prepare it to receive the veneer. A tooth-colored liquid bonding material is then applied to the tooth surface, to help the veneer adhere.
• Crowns
  A bridge spans a space where one or more teeth have been lost in the dental arch. We replace the missing teeth with custom-designed replacement teeth, which are anchored by crowns to existing healthy tooth structure.

  A composite resin filling may be used when only a small amount of tooth structure needs replacement. Composite bonding is one of the most conservative, versatile and affordable ways to aesthetically restore a multitude of cosmetic problems.

  As an alternative to an extraction, the goals of root canal treatment are to save the tooth and allow it to be retained in the mouth for many years in a state of health, function, and comfort. Root canal treatment is directed towards removing diseased tissue from the inside of the tooth and subsequently filling and sealing the root canal space in order to minimize the possibility of future re-infection.

  Immediately after surgery we will give you specific post surgical instructions to assure the best possible healing process. In addition, we may prescribe pain medication and in some cases, antibiotics to aid in the healing process and help alleviate any discomfort. At this time you may be fitted with temporary dentures of natural-looking teeth to help you function as normal as possible. You should limit your diet to soft food and follow important oral hygiene instructions. Follow-up care is important during this time.

  Cassie joined our practice in march of 2015. She has been a Dental Assistant since 2008 working in many areas of the dental field including orthodontics and oral surgery. Since joining our team, Cassie has quickly earned our patients\' trust with her caring personality, bright smile, and dental knowledge. Cassie and her husband left Ohio in 2013 moving to Chattanooga Tennessee where she developed a love for hiking and riding bikes. In the end of 2014 they moved back home when her husband took a new job in Ohio. In her free time, Cassie enjoys reading, going to watch live music, and spending time with family.
