Learn to make beautiful exhibition prints in the digital darkroom. Do you want to take your digital printing into the fine art realm? We will be using BPIC's Epson Professional 9880 printer which makes prints up to 44' wide. This class will cover paper types, printer profiles and will explore the possibilities available in digital fine art printing, as well as tips and tricks in Photoshop to get most out of your files. We will cover scanning of negatives for print, and how to get the most out of RAW files from digital capture. Keliy Anderson-Staley received a BA from Hampshire College and an MFA from Hunter College, CUNY. Keliy was a 2008 NYFA Photography Fellow. She has taught the nineteenth-century wet plate collodion tintype process at the Center for Alternative Photogaphy in NYC, the Bakery Photo Collective, at Bowdoin College, Hampshire College, and New Jersey City University. Her work has been featured in fine art photography magazines and exhibited in numerous galleries and museums. www.andersonstaley.com Brenton Hamilton has been a print maker and educator for 18 years - specializing in historic process. Hamilton teaches year round at Maine Media Workshops in Rockport Maine and directs the long term residency program in photography. Tanja Hollander graduated with a BA from Hampshire College in 1994. Tanja has been printing color photo0graphs for 20 years. She is represented by Carroll and Sons Gallery in Boston, and Jim Kempner Fine Art in New York. www.tanjaalexiahollander.com Robert Monroe graduated with a BA in Theatre Arts from SUNY Oswego. He studied photography at the International Center of Photography in NYC, privately with photographer Dan Cooney and in the graduate program at MECA. His work has been exhibited in New York, Boston, and throughout Maine. Jack Nordby is a self-educated photographer, having built his first darkroom at age twelve. Jack's specialty is panoramic photography. He has been doing pinhole photography for over 10 years. Scott Peterman ( MFA Yale '98 ) has exhibited nationally and internationally, including the Tate Modern London, The 10th annual Architecture Exhibit Venice, The Baltimore Museum of Art, The Portland Museum of Art and The Decordova Museum, as well as many commercial Galleries. His clients include IBM and Nextel, NY Times Magazine, GQ, Newsweek, Vanity Fair and Forbes among others. Scott's work is in the collections of Aomori Museum of Art, The Baltimore Museum of Art and The PMA among many others. David Wolfe is a master printer in Portland, Maine. He is proprietor of Wolfe Editions, a fine art and book printing studio. He teaches at MECA, and shows work at numerous venues. He is represented by VOX Photographs.
