About usThe Cape Codder Seafood Market, formerly known as Seven C's Fish Market, is a staple in West Yarmouth. Mark VanBuskirk, a 12th generation Cape Codder, bought the business from Roger and Marlene Cahoon in 2008.Home is where the heart is!After working in local restaurants during high school, Mark attended the New England Culinary Institute in Burlington VT and graduated in 1993. Previous employers include The American Seasons on Nantucket and the Regatta of Falmouth By-The-Sea. As the chief steward for National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Mark was in charge of the quality control, preparation and sanitation programs as well as cooking, baking and ordering food for a crew of 26. After years at sea, the opportunity came along to return to Cape Cod and start a new life in the seafood business.
