Worst experience ever!!! My family went to dinner there after my father in laws funeral. An hour after we left we got a call from the police that they were pressing charges,because they accused us of stealing salt and pepper shakers. This was not the way to treat loyal customers that were grieving the loss of our father.I will never set foot in that place again.

I HAVE BEEN GOING TO THE COWESETT INN FOR YEARS. THE FOOD IS ALWAYS GOOD. LATELY, IT HAS NEVER BEEN BETTER! I HAVE BEEN GOING EVERY NIGHT THIS WEEK..FOR THE SAME MEAL, THE TURKEY DINNER. OH, MY...IT IS OUTSTANDING! PLEASE TELL THE CHEF THAT HE IS DOING A FANTASTIC JOB!
In the past this was a pretty decent restaurant, but over the last several years it's been on a downward slide. Prices have increased & the quality of food has dramatically decreased. The once cordial & friendly wait staff has been replaced by discourteous, incompetent help.Family members & friends have called in takeout orders over the past several months & were placed on hold for almost 10 minutes ? why? they were told only the bartender can take an order & he's busy right now!!!The friendly young hostesses that once greeted you at the front door seem to have been replaced for the most part by the owner who is absolutely rude and is obviously put off by greeting her customers.I as well as others, have witnessed her at several times berate the staff in front of the customers.Bottom line . . . Eat Elsewhere
