Adolescent Residential Treatment and Education Center, located in Midvale, Utah, serves more than 600 youth suffering from behavioral disorders, emotional disturbances and substance abuse problems. It is one of the centers of Valley Mental Health, a nonprofit organization that provides health care and specialized services to individuals suffering from mental health disorders. It provides various services, such as psychiatric evaluation, crisis intervention, and assessment and evaluations. Additionally, it operates a alcohol and drug transition unit that provides in-home health care services for the youth of ages 12 to 18 years suffering from substance and sexual abuse, domestic violence through individual and family counseling, referral services, psychiatric evaluation and medication management. It also organizes recreational activities and educational and vocational programs. The center also offers rehabilitation therapies and transition programs for men and women suffering from alcohol and drug addictions.
