Incorporated in 1896, Vigilant Fire Company is a full-service public safety agency that works to provide fire suppression and prevention, rescue and emergency medical services. It operates a communication and dispatch center that coordinates responses to fire and emergency medical calls. The company houses pumps, engines, cars, and utility and rescue vehicles. Vigilant Fire Company has more than 50 officers and volunteer firefighters. It supports the Explorer Post program, which conducts training classes in firefighting, emergency medical services and ambulance apprentice. The company is located in West Seneca, N.Y.
