Golden State Middle School offers educational and athletic programs to students in grades seven and eight. The school conducts classes in various subjects, including science, math, language arts, social studies, music, and health and physical education. Golden State Middle School offers a range of sports activities, such as basketball, football, softball, soccer, tennis, track and field and cheerleading. In addition, the school offers honors, special education, English as a Second Language and after-school tutorial programs. Golden State Middle School also offers several exploratory classes, such as wood shop, computers, art, music and choir. The school has a guidance counseling department that offers individual and group counseling services to students. Golden State Middle School is a part of the Washington Unified School District.
