Provided by YP.comThis morning I had THE MOST excruciating back pain I have ever experienced. I was unable to drive to my PC physician, & researched "Urgent Care" facilities in close proximity to my home.
Aetna recommended some in-network facilities, so, I did a bit of research. Care Station patients wrote a plethora of negative experiences mostly re: the doctors' services. Based on these Googled reviews, my intention was to travel further to the alternate urgent care facility recommended by Aetna. The pain was too great, so, out of necessity, I went to the Urgent Care in West Orange.
Please listen up . . . My first time experience at Care Center in West Orange exceeded my expectations. I was greeted promptly by a smiling and welcoming gal, who was extremely efficient, and provided SUPERB service. Maritza R. deserves a special "good deeds" gold star ! Because of her empathy and kindness, I was able to pay-it-forward while at the pharmacy, despite my pain. Whoot whoot.
In addition, I was promptly seen by a thorough, informative, cautious, extremely competent, and caring physician who also deserves accolades. Her name is Marie Grace Witham, D.O. I highly recommend her. At her recommendation, I will be following up with Dr. Singh (sp) who specializes in sports medicine. Because of her confidence, I feel confident in her recommendation.
The lab technician was also prompt, thorough, patient, kind, and informative. I apologize; however, I am unable to recall his name.
PLEASE . . . Ignore the negative minutia and give this facility a try.
Thank you Urgent Care, Maritza R. and Dr. Witham.
P.S. This facility does not accommodate life threatening medical needs. GO TO YOUR NEAREST HOSPITAL ! They are more equipped to handle life threatening situations.

Provided by YPmobileYou can tell the people that work there are nice people. But they Job performance sucks to the highest degree! No patients in the waiting room and you still will wait for an hour or more..information on what you're there for is not communicated clearly or throughly between staff. They need better management to make it function as good as it looks. If u hve time on your hands, a minor issue like sick kid, not infant, or physical for work etc go here.

Provided by YP.comCare Center admin staff was great. The medical attention stuck, however. I went there after suffering through the worst of the pain from a kidney stone. I'd hoped they'd give me an alpha blocker that would relax the muscles in my ureter and help me pass the stone sooner. Instead, they told me to take Tylenol and to get a CAT scan but couldn't arrange for an appointment sooner that 6-days later.
I even asked for the drug that would "relax the tube." Unfortunately, I couldn't remember what it was called at the time.
Maybe this place is fine for family practice stuff, but they were inadequate and dismissive for urgent care. I've spent 2 additional nights of nearly going to the ER, and I can't help but think an alpha blocker prescription--or a next day CAT scan--would have been better than what they did.
