General Info
While traveling through some of the larger cities in the South such as Birmingham, AL , Nashville, TN , Jackson, MS , and Baton Rouge, LA , I noticed there was something missing in our area. There was no place in West Monroe that specialized in meeting the grooming needs of real men; you either had to sacrifice the full experience you deserve or listen to all the gossip. I could not find a single place that truly specialized in Men’s Haircuts and Grooming, offering services such as Energizing Scalp Massages, Steaming Hot Towels, Straight Razor Shaves, Eyebrow Waxing, Hand & Foot Detailing, etc… You either had to go someplace that felt like a Funeral Home or sounded like a Girl’s Slumber Party. They either smelled like something died or were crowded, messy, and over-run with chatter. Your choices were narrowed down to some place like Floyd’s barbershop, where you might bump into Andy or Barney, or Aunt Bee’s Beauty Shop where you could listen to all the town gossip from Helen and Thelma Lou… Who wants to make that choice every three weeks, so…SPORTSMAN’S – The Gentleman’s Barber was born.

What a great place to have a Saturday morning experience on Monday morning. Have you ever gotten your hair trimmed on Monday? Have you ever wondered why your barber is closed on Mondays? My hair does not stop growing over the weekend and I really appreciate this place being open and ready to roll when you get there on Monday. I can't say it enough that I really appreciate the fact that SPORTSMAN'S is open on Mondays!!! Besides just being open, they have already had a team meeting, gotten the coffee brewed, and the TVs turned on. Unlike my last barber's shop, this place does not have that musty smell like someone died. I hope your experience is as good as mine have been. Randy
Hats off to the staff at SPORTSMAN'S!!! Their staff took such great care of me on short notice. I was on my way to the Funeral Home, but needed to stop in for a quick haircut. I was looking pretty scruffy when I got to their shop, but they had me looking much better in just a short time. They did a "Trophy Buck" and I was on my way. Thanks for taking great care of me. Johnny
This place was great. The people there were very sweet and go out of their way to make the experience wonderful. I would recommend this place to anyone. It was very manly with all the bear heads and stuffed animals.
