  Dr. Gupta is a Chicago, IL native where he earned his BS in Engineering and then an MD from the University of Illinois. He completed his neurology residency in Portland, OR and then a fellowship in pain management at Johns Hopkins University, later becoming an instructor there. He came to Austin, TX in 1996 and opened his Westlake office in 1998, specializing in headache and pain management. His primary clinical interest has always been in treating headache disorders, which is now the main focus of his practice.
