Prices are much better than Bar Barry on liquors. Service is friendly.

I've never had a bad experience here. The staff is always friendly & helpful. In Indiana it is illegal for ANYONE under 21 to enter a liquor store, even children, and the law IS enforced. All Indiana liquor stores have BIG signs on their doors stating that you must be 21 to enter.

I recently went to Village Bottle Shoppe to buy an expensive bottle of champagne for a friend who just got her doctorate degree. I had my toddler with me, so I took her in. The person at the counter was actually very helpful and told me where the champagne bottles were located. As I was about to make my choice, a man working at the store came to me from behind and started yelling at me that my daughter had to leave immediately because she was not allowed to be there. I told the person there was no way I was going to leave her alone in the car, and that it is illegal anyway. He kept yelling at me that she had to leave. My daughter got really scared and started crying. She clearly understood that the man was telling her to leave and she was afraid he would make her leave without me. I will not go back to this business place ever, neither will anybody from my family, as they do not have any respect for their customers.
