Founded in 1985, the South Valley Water Reclamation Facility provides wastewater treatment for the cities of Midvale, West Jordan, South Jordan, Riverton, Bluffdale, Draper and Copperton in Utah. It covers a more than 200-square-mile service area. The South Valley Water Reclamation Facility s biosolids organic compost is used by landscapers and homeowners for soil conditioning and organic fertilizer applications. The facility has a daily capacity of more than 40 million gallons of wastewater treatment. Its board consists of representatives from Midvale, West Jordan, the Midvalley Improvement District, Sandy Suburban Improvement District and South Valley Sewer District. The South Valley Water Reclamation Facility is located in West Jordan, Utah.
