Copper Hills Youth Center, owned and operated by Horizon Health Corporation, provides residential treatment programs for children ages 12 to 17. It also provides educational programs to children that include various academic subjects, such as English, science, social studies, mathematics and physical education. The services offered by the center include medication management, anger and stress management, victim awareness, impulse control, values education and moral reasoning training and cognitive restructuring. It also provides special treatment services for children suffering from Asperger's syndrome, including family and group therapies, skills development, psychiatric consultation, and speech and recreational therapies, and drug and alcohol education. The center provides a variety of recreational activities top children, such as visits to community parks, rope courses, hiking, camping and river rafting.Copper Hills Youth Center is located in West Jordan, Utah, is approved by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
