Beach Street Middle School, located in West Islip, N.Y., offers an extensive curriculum for students in grades six through eighth. The school is affiliated with the West Islip Union Free School District and serves more than 600 students. It offers a variety of subjects, including English, language arts, literature, social studies, science, mathematics and health and physical education. The school also has various special subjects, such as foreign language, music, computer technology, business education and family and consumer sciences. The school provides various facilities that include a computer laboratory, library and media center and cafeteria. Beach Street Middle School has a parent-teacher association that offers counseling services to review the overall upbringing of the students.
