Best meat department in the area. Beautifully cut without cellophane wrap, or cut to your order.

Groceries are heavily over priced and of the same quality as anywhere else in town. Thus the premium I am willing to pay for prepared hot foods, great meat, fine fruits, etc. should not apply to standard groceries. The company and its new owners, Albertson's, are grocers, not restaurant people. Thus, even if they have a restaurant trained manager or two for the chain, they are not into the fundamentals such as restocking hot foods and soups before they run out; cleaning the tables immediately with low priced cleaning help instead of waiting for the high priced cashier to be free to do it; hiring unobtrusive plain clothes monitors to watch for the open shoplifting in the hot food and sushi areas (I do not spend much time elsewhere.); using modern statistical stock ordering tools to minimize the running short of many things including soup containers, plastic ware, etc. (The grocery, dairy and produce sections don't seem to have this problem.
