Founded in 1976, Valley Women's Center is a nonprofit agency serving women at risk for alcohol and drugs in the San Fernando Valley. Based in Canoga Park, Calif., it provides individual, couples and family counseling in English, Spanish, Farsi, Hebrew as well as Russian. The center offers an array of services, such as referral, community outreach and education. It conducts a variety of programs, including relapse prevention, parenting class, anger management and domestic violence support.
