Specialties The martial art that is taught at Janjira Fitness is a mixture of Muay Thai, the combat sport from Thailand, kickboxing from Japan, and American boxing. Our programs include high intensity cardiovascular workouts which include stretching, breathing, focus, and conditioning for all our members. Our style includes the art of eight limbs which includes hand, feet, elbow, and knee combinations as part of our curriculum. Our philosophy is to learn all the same basics and philosophies of a world champion from the beginning. Doesn't matter whether you're a kid or an adult, come and experience the heat and burn calories with the best in the business. First-timers, come and experience a free class and train with professional Coach Victor Alvarez, and BCBC State Champion Kevin Gonzalez all mentored by legendary trainer and manager Coach David Krapes. Origin Story In 2011, Janjira Fitness was formerly known as Where Champions Are Made and was founded by 12-Time Welterweight World Champion Hector Pena "The Aztec Warrior." In 2015, he passed away and his legacy was continued by legends' fighter trainer Coach David Krapes and partner Rob Harper of Harper's Bar and Grill. They rebranded the gym to Janjira Fitness and kept "Where Champions Are Made" as the motto. The name "Janjira" is synonymous with the legendary Thai fighter from Thailand, Saekson Janjira, who David had worked closely with and helped train. Saekson operates his business today in Dallas, Texas. Today, we continue the legacy by mentoring our students under the philosophies of Muay Thai and kickboxing. We believe that all students should learn the discipline of The Art of Eight Limbs (Muay Thai), Urquidez kickboxing, and boxing to have a well-rounded off stand up martial art.
