Absolutely the company from hell. After 2 months no fix and than dropped the claim due to company error. They should be out of business

By far one of the poorest levels of service I have ever received or rather, not received. Two days later my ac is out and I can't get one phone call back from them. They are NOT 24/7 with their contractors no matter what they tell you. We are an emergency and it has not helped one bit. DO NOT BUY THIS HOME WARRANTY.

I have had trouble with them for the past six months. It was 20 degrees and my heater went out in the middle of the night. I waited for an entire week to get service only to find out that Sears didn't work on heat pumps. I called back and they called someone else that didn't even service my area. Still no heat. I was told by one of their representatives that because I had a unit upstairs, this was not an emergency. Little does she know, heat does not come down, it rises. Therefore, I had to call someone to come and service my unit. To this date, they have not refunded me money. Furthermore, they have canceled my contract. Noone from this company has called to address my concerns or even state that the would reimburse me.I would not recommend this company to anyone now.

be very careful with this company. you have to have a special phone number to fax a cancel notice. you can't call, cancel & get a conformation number. I emailed the company to cancel and found out later that that wasn't good enough as they continued to withdraw money. I am not going to fax and email them according to what they say are the proper methods.

As a property manager I advise all of my clients to use 1st American..I find that their service is timely and they will get the job done. I had a serious problem with one of my homes that the heater was old and non functioning..they replaced it with a smile..I even have 1st American on my personal home. I find that with any contractor, your representative can make or break the process. My Rep, Dawn Z is FABULOUS! I have worked with 4 other home warranty companies and they did not take care of business as quickly or with as little hassle as 1st American

Poor service, I was told twice they would call me back and never did. They hired some goof that could not figure out the problem with my two year old dishwasher. Even there computer called to follow up and I responded unfavorably nothing happen.
