Restaurant Bricco is a full-service restaurant that offers a wide variety of entrees, desserts, and alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. Its menu includes various pizzas, such as pepperoni, Italian meat, mushroom, grilled chicken, smoked salmon, shrimp scampi and margherita. The restaurant also serves a variety of salads, including Boston bib, Caesar salad, pistachio-crusted goat cheese and house salads. Its desserts menu includes vanilla bean cr me brulee, pumpkin brulee cheesecakes, lemon tarts, pumpkin bread pudding and chocolate chunks. The restaurant also serves a wide variety of pastas, omelets, sandwiches, burgers and wines. Restaurant Bricco is located in West Hartford, Conn.

There are a number of "snooty" Restaurants in West Hartford. Over Priced; Indifferent Service; Fair-to-Middlin' food.
Bricco's fails on all counts (Thank God!). No reservations (bummer), but fabulous after that. Spirits are moderate (7 - 20). Entrees are also moderate in price, but exquisite in taste. There are no bad choices. The pastas, the fish, and the meats: all are a harmonious calliope of flavors. There's always a good chance you will catch Chef Billy, or others in the family, hanging out with their guests.
If you want to impress your date/friends/clients/etc. and not spend a fortune - head to Bricco's on LaSalle in West Hartford. You won't be disappointed. Casual-to-dressy. The sidewalk section is great for watching "The Center Strollers". Be sure to try the Cheese Appetizer: 4 flavorful selections, each with its own sweet accent, plus fresh fig and glazed walnuts. To die for!
I really like this place. Food is wonderful, especially the My Mom's Carbonara and the great grilled lamb dishes. One of the top 5 restaurants in all of greater Hartford and that's saying something. If you can't get in - visit their other place around the corner, Grants Restaurant on Farmington Ave.
