The West Fargo Police Department provides law enforcement services and works to ensure the safety and security of citizens. It is comprised of more than 40 sworn police officers, dispatchers and support staff. The department enforces traffic and animal ordinances. The West Fargo Police Department supports Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.), which is a classroom program that helps to prevent drug abuse and violence among children. It operates a citizens police academy that educates and trains people regarding its law enforcement services. In addition, the department conducts National Night Out and vacation house watch programs. The West Fargo Police Department is located in West Fargo, N.D.
