By law, the Judge can not issue your discharge until about 9 weeks after your hearing, but because we carefully prepare your petition normally nothing much happens between hearing and discharge. If you are below median income, you should have no problem getting a full Chapter 7 discharge with no repayment. There is a $299 filing fee. We do ask for the $900 attorney fee up front since we become a dischargeable creditor, just like the others. There is a pre-filing credit counseling requirement which you can fulfill online.
