- SinusitisDo you suffer from painful nasal congestion, difficulty breathing, a reduction in your senses of smell and taste, headaches, fatigue and facial pain? If so, you might be one of the 31 million Americans affected by chronic sinusitis.
- Pediatric CareAll you need to know is that this is hands down the best ENT clinic around. Especially for pediatrics. My son is severely medically complex and sees Dr. Young. Even our other pediatric specialists talk about how skilled he is. He’s worked with my son’s ears and airway under anesthesia several times now, and I can honestly say that I trust him with my son’s life. I mean think about it; if he’s that good with medically complex kids, think about how good he is for every patient who walks in his door. We love Dr. Young!
- SnoringIn some cases, sleep problems—such as snoring and sleep apnea —are related to ear, nose or throat conditions. That's where our experts can help.
- Ear InfectionsAn ear infection, also called otitis media, is an infection of the middle ear (the air-filled space behind the eardrum). The infection causes inflammation that enables fluids to build up within the middle ear (acute otitis media), resulting in pain and hearing loss.

- ThyroidThyroid disorders can be among the most complex medical conditions encountered. They may represent an enormous spectrum of disease, including metabolic disorders, benign growth, malignant tumors and other conditions.
- X-Rays
- Computed TomographyCRS can be diagnosed by symptoms and x-rays. Symptoms of chronic rhinosinusitis include facial pain, facial pressure, nasal obstruction, post-nasal drainage, and ear pressure. When these symptoms have been present for more than three months or on a recurring basis, the condition of CRS is present. In the office, your Iowa ENT physician can perform a highly accurate examination of the nose and sinuses, using special non-invasive scopes to visualize the sinus openings. Specialized x-ray imaging of the sinuses, called a sinus CT scan, is a very accurate means of assessing this condition. Many patients assume they have allergies, when in fact the problem is chronic sinusitis.
