I am wondering about what I cando to get emancipated at age 16 from my adopted parents because I am very unhappy there i want to be on my own some where else i would hae a job and a place to stay could I do it? not being abused well i hae been in the house before I am just ready to move on and support my self and everything..

The lawyer I hired from this firm was fantastic! I strongly disagree with the other reviews saying this firm is "too expensive". My ex wanted to lower his child support for my two kids. I tried to fight him without a lawyer - - Big Mistake! A friend referred me to this law firm, and thank God I hired them! My lawyer not only defeated my ex's attempt to lower his child support, but my lawyer convinced the judge to RAISE it! My lawyer estimated how much it was going to cost, and it ended up being less. I gladly paid him and cannot thank him enough for teaching my ex a lesson he deserved!!

This law firm is very expensive. My lawyer spent as absolutely little time on the phone with me as possible, yet would bill me for a minimum of 20" . . . each phone call ended up costing me around $500, by the time I paid for the phone call, the follow up letter, the letter to the other lawyer, etc, etc, and that was ESPECIALLY galling when the reason I was calling was that HE (my lawyer) had made a mistake. What other profession gets paid to make mistakes? Throughout the process I felt that the two opposing lawyers were "cooperating" to drag out the process and make things more difficult, and add to the cost of the procedure. While it is true my lawyer did have the specialized interstate child support knowledge that I needed, and in the end my main objective was achieved . . . the financial outlay was very significant.

I personally did not like the legal services provided. They billed me way too much and seemed to want to prolong the legal process to jack up the bill. I probably could've achieved the same results with another (less costly) attorney.
