- Sexual HarassmentImmediately after graduating from Ave Maria, Louis moved to Waynesville, NC and spent two years managing a small law firm in Asheville. While there, he learned about local administrative processes required to file civil lawsuits, how to answer and write interrogatories, how to get the most out of witnesses through deposition, and how to acquire experts to bolster a client’s position. During this time, Louis also assisted with Title IX student sexual harassment hearings and increased his overall knowledge in criminal and civil procedure. Leveraging this knowledge, he helped clients achieve successful negotiations with insurance companies and learned how to apply important aspects of the law in various domestic concerns – such as domestic violence protective orders, child custody matters, separation agreements, and divorce.
