The First West Chester Fire Company has been serving the residents of West Chester in Pennsylvania since 1799. The fire company serves more than 60,000 residents in West Chester Borough, East Bradford Township, West Goshen Township, Birmingham Township, Thornbury Township and Westtown Township in Pennsylvania. It also gives mutual aid to Longwood Fire Company, Downingtown Fire Companies, West Bradford Fire Company, West Whiteland Fire Company, Goshen Fire Companies and Concordville Fire Company. The First West Chester Fire Company undertakes various building maintenance and fundraising activities. Additionally, the fire company offers its facilities, as well as fire trucks for hosting birthday parties. It maintains over 50 pieces of apparatus.
