Union Elementary is an educational institution that is a part of Lakota Local Schools, which serves more than 18,000 students through over 20 elementary, middle and high schools, as well as early childhood education centers. The school serves students in grades two through six. Its academic curriculum includes reading, math, science and social studies. The school offers special education, English as a Second Language, and gifted and talented education programs. Union Elementary conducts classes in art, music and physical education, as well as supports extracurricular activities, such as band. The school operates a parent-teacher-student organization that sponsors events, including family fun nights and skating parties. It also organizes several sports tournaments and musical concerts.
