Lafferty Family Chiropractic now offers an exciting new chiropractic treatment, Active Release Technique. Dr. Anthony "Tony" Lafferty is certified in the patented ART system after under going extensive training and testing. Since 1991 ART has gained recognition from elite Olympic and professional athletes as an effective treatment.ART is a patented, state-of-the-art soft tissue system that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. Headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fascitis, knee problems and tennis elbow are just a few of the many conditions that can be resolved quickly and permanently with ART. These conditions all have one important thing in common: the often result from injury to over-used muscles.Over-used muscles (and other soft tissues) change in three important ways: acute injuries (pulls, tears, collisions,etc), accumulation of small tears (micro-trauma) and not getting enough oxygen (hypoxia).Each of these factors can cause your body to produce tough, dense scar tissue in the affected area. This scar tissue builds up and ties down tissues that need to move freely. As scar tissue builds up, muscles become shorter and weaker, tension on tendons causes tendonitis, and nerves can become trapped. This can cause reduced ranges of motion, loss of strength, and pain. If a nerve strapped you may also feel tingling, numbness, and weakness.Every ART session is actually a combination of examination and treatment. The ART provider uses his or her hands to evaluate the texture, tightness, and movement of muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments and nerves. Abnormal tissues are treated by combining precisely directed tension with very specific patient movements.These treatment protocols - over 500 of them - are unique to ART. They allow providers to identify and correct the specific problems that are affecting each individual patient. ART is not a cookie-cutter approach. Only a credentialed ART provider such as Dr. Lafferty can ascertain whether ART might prove beneficial for your condition. Dr. Lafferty is amazing. i have bulging disk's with disk extrusions in my lumbar. I have trouble walking and standing and after a couple of visits i am able to walk straight. I highly recommend for anybody with back problems to go and see him and his team. They are very polite and professional.

Dr. Lafferty is a very good chiropractor. He not only adjusts the spine, but he does muscle work that many chiropractors neglect. For me, the muscle work made a huge difference. I will no longer patron chiropractors that don't do muscle work. Among other ailments, I had bad digestive problems resulting from severe scoliosis. After receiving a few treatments from Dr. Laffery, my digestion became better and my morning energy levels increased. I highly recommend Dr. Lafferty.

After searching the internet for just the right chiropractor I found lafferty family chiropractor. After just one visit I felt amazing. I am in the health care profession and constantly lift heavy patients. Dr laffertys care has made me feel like myself again.

Dr Lafferty is the best chiropractor in South Jersey!! Continuing,intensive,education is his speciality, to keep informed of the current trends in fitness and health and the chiropractic field. Ask him a question, he has the answer. I walked into Dr Lafferty's office ,on my tippy toes in much pain, many years ago, with migraine headache, sciatic pain and lower back pain(bulging disc) expecting I needed surgery. BUT, I learned quickly to listen to his advice. The continuing,consistant treatment(it doesn't happen overnight),encouragement and most importantly(to me),the fact that Natural Supplements are available and are a wonderful alternative for controlling pain naturally, my family and I are now living pain free lives. I trust him exclusively!

My experience with Dr. Lafferty has been a very positive one and against a lot of the myths that we usually hear about chiropractors. I have been treated for a month and I feel much better. I hurt myself back in January and I had an excruciating pain on my lower back, chest, rib cage, left knee for weeks. I am 34 year old; I have a moderate scoliosis that once in a while causes some lower back pain. But definitively not as the pain I have experienced these past few months; I was under a lot of stress. A friend suggested going to Lafferty Family. After getting x-rays of my spine and lower back, Dr. Lafferty started to treat me. No cracking at all of bones! Massage, manipulations and few adjustments and now I feel more balanced, less stressed, more energetic and pain free as a result of Lafferty chiropractic care. Along with my family doctor, Dr. Lafferty will work on an orthotics for me to alleviate back pain. Also, the staff at the office is wonderful, caring and positive. Grazie mille!

I am so thrilled to have found Lafferty Chiropractic. Dr. Julia Stelluto and Dr. Anthony Lafferty have so much knowledge, are both so forward thinking, and incorporate so many techniques like A.R.T., Active Release Technique, which has made all the difference in the world to me. Their office staff is welcoming, pleasant, and very efficient. I highly recommend these Doctors. Sue
