The staff was nice but I wan not impressed with their diagnostic abilities at all. For almost 2 years the Vet told us my GSD had Hip dysplasia and prescribed the standard meds at around $60 a month. When I finally decided to put him to sleep I decided to go with a well known and regarded traveling vet. The cost was higher but Decorah's vet had really stressed my GSD out when taking blood and I did not want that to happen again, especially at such a sensitive time. The traveling vet came to the house and within 2 minutes he told us that Sam has Spinal Degeneration and that there were no signs of dysplasia. So either the vet at Decorah was incompetent or they mis-diagnosed on purpose. There are no meds for degeneration, thus there is no way to profit off an honest diagnosis.

So glad we switched to Decorah Animal Hospital for our pet care! Dr. Bauman and her staff are great!
