Ever since she was a young girl, María Hernández, MD, loved working with and spending time with children. Now, as a pediatrician in Wesley Chapel, Florida, she gets to live out her dream as she sees children and families in her office. Surrounding herself with her patients’ carefree laughter, boundless energy, unconditional love, surprising intelligence and endearing innocence makes her immensely happy and gives her purpose in her role as their provider. For her, being around youngsters keeps her young at heart. Dr. Hernández uses her more than 10 years of experience to deliver exceptional care to babies, children, teens and young adults. As your child’s provider, Dr. Hernández promises to listen closely to them - and you - and guide your family through the many wonderful moments, milestones and memories of childhood. And, being a mother of two sons herself, she can relate to the joys and challenges that come with rising happy, healthy and well-adjusted children. To rest and unwind, Dr. Hernández finds joy cooking and trying out new dishes for her family enjoy. After all, food doesn’t just nourish the body: It can nourish the spirit.
