I highly recommend Kauffman Eye Institute. The staff are really friendly. I think Jennifer was my technician. I saw the Dr. Jonathan Kauffman. He was very smart. I would recommend him any day of the week.

I am given one star because the system does not allow me to other less than one. My family was referred here and have received the worst care possible. They charged my brother in law over $700 dollars for one par of prescription glasses, and to my sister for her sun prescription and regular glasses over $800, and the glasses did not have the actual strength needed, and they were very rude mainly Larry (optical manager) and the doctor's son, Dr. Kauffman, and he spent less than 5 minutes, and documented in the medical records that he has spent 45 minutes. Please, don't refer someone there, or go there. They even don't have electronic medical records, and they a fancy new building, but the records are illegible. They brought the lenses someone else and they were told that the glasses did not have the strength that was told. They don't want to help to fix it or change it, and wanted to charge again.

Out of all the ophthalmology practices that I've been too, Kaufman Eye Institute is the best by far. The front office staff are very nice. The doctors are extremely thorough. I will recommend them to everyone I know.

7/27/2013 Edit I just visited the Wesley Chapel office for my annual eye exam and I was greeted right away with a friendly smile by the receptionist. I sat down and expected to wait at least half an hour like my old eye doctors office, but I waited less than 5 minutes! Kaylin (the tech) came out to get me and was friendly, professional, and listened carefully to my concerns. She noted them in my file so the doctor would be able to address them with me. I found Kaylin to be very patient and knowledgeable. Then Dr. Parker came in, smiled, and shook my hand. He reviewed my current prescription and began to address my concerns. Dr. Parker was very attentive while I was speaking and then conducted a very thorough examination of my eyes and my vision, explaining what he was doing each step of the way. He offered several options and discussed the pros and cons of each. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend Dr. Parker and the staff at Kaufman Eye Institute!

Horrible service. Closes more days than open although hours listed on door are firm. The office is impersonal. I had to go back 6 times in 1 month for my glasses. Use anyone other than these folks.
