      Souza Gallery / Copyz & Graphix is locally owned by Virginia E. Souza and has been serving the Wells, Maine area since 2007. The Souza Gallery features Virginia’s fine art original paintings and illustrations as well as prints, cards and other gifts based on these works. Copyz & Graphix provide a wide range of services including printing, copying, faxing, and graphic design. Open some Saturdays by chance or by appointment, please call 207-646-2880. The fine art of Virginia Souza has been displayed in galleries, private collections (paintings, prints, murals) as well as on cards, in books, international publications and catalogs, and a variety of commercial products. Her art has been featured on the covers of Lighthouse Digest® Magazine for the more than 15 years. Virginia studied art and graphic design at the Massachusetts College of Art and at Harvard University. She has produced fine art and illustration in her home states of Massachusetts, Florida and in Maine. She currently owns an art gallery and graphic design business at 676 Post Road (Route 1) in Wells, Maine. Virginia lives on the Maine seashore and has painted the seacoast since childhood. In 1980 she met, studied and painted with well-known landscape and marine artist, George Carpenter of Ogunquit, until his death in June 2006. He continues to be a creative inspiration to her each and every day. Virginia works in oil, acrylics, watercolor and pencil to produce original paintings and illustrations. She paints the historic sites of Maine lost to time. Other works include marine paintings, landscapes and other subjects including lighthouses, birds and animals.
