Halifax Community College, established in 1967, offers associate degrees in arts and science to students throughout North Carolina. The college offers a variety of courses, including business and accounting, industry, allied health, natural sciences, computers, banking, business administration, information systems, criminal justice and human services. It provides a variety of services to students, such as career counseling, financial assistance, scholarships and medical assistance. It has an enrollment of more than 10,000 students and is accredited by the by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Halifax Community College has a more than 100 acres campus located in Weldon, N.C.
