General Info
I have over 26 years of experience fly fishing in both fresh and salt waters all over the world. I am the owner and guide for Ontario Fly Outfitters. I am a U.S. Coast Guard certified Captain and a New York State licensed D.E.C. registered fishing guide. Tournament experienced and published in various print media as one of the best! I reside in Webster, New York on Lake Ontario where I fish all year round. I support preservation and promote public awareness of conservation in the sport fishing community. I also promote “catch and release” and “fair tactic” fishing techniques. I am dedicated to protecting our marine resources. My passion for conservation and promoting a world class fishery lead me to initiate, manage and deliver a “catch and release” fishing zone on a Lake Ontario tributary (Four Mile Creek). Working closely with the Town Of Webster, the N.Y.S. Department of Environmental Conservation and other community organizations, the project has been successfully completed. As a result, wild Brown Trout, Steelhead and Salmon continue to naturally reproduce and imprint on Four Mile Creek. I am a member/guide affiliated with Trout Unlimited and the Fly Fishers Federation. I currently hold a seat as the Vice President of Canandaigua Lake Trout Unlimited. You can find my blog on The Fly Fishing Chronicles at http://flyfishingchronicles.com. I graduated SUNY at Buffalo State College, played NCAA collegiate soccer and collegiate rugby football. I am also an accomplished 22-year pharmaceutical sales management professional.
