What an incredible experience working with Anne at MJ Gabel. The plethora of knowledge and industry insight was very helpful. Anne was patient, understanding and willing to help. Matthew Gabel of MJ Gabel was a pleasure to work with when I purchased a diamond from their ebay listing. Polite, professional, HONEST and happy to share any information and answer any questions about diamonds/jewelry. YouTube videos were immensely helpful in placing a name to a face and getting an impression of character (especially when you are buying or selling a diamond). You'd like to deal with someone who is knowledgeable, friendly and goes over and beyond to help you achieve your goals. This is the quality of service one receives when they do business with MJ Gabel. I highly recommend them. I am 100% happy with my diamond purchase.

After weeks of visiting jewelers and gold shops and getting: "we are not buying diamond rings at this time" or " yea I will offer you $2200" (an insult). I found MJ Gabel (google search). A company that specializes in purchasing diamond rings. Could this be, Diamond Ring Buyers, In Rochester!! Well, just outside of Rochester. Very skeptical and ready for the same results and response I had received time and again, I took the short drive and visited MJ Gabel. What a VERY pleasant experience. Not only did they offer me a very fair CASH price, (higher than any other offeres) but they also gave me a few options to get more out of my diamond piece. I took the cash offer because I had already wasted weeks trying to sell this piece and just wanted to be done with it. All I can say is EXCELLENT!!!! I have had the most wonderful experience with MJ Gabel! Professional advice, courtesy, exceptional communication, and superior knowledge in the gemstone industry place this company above and beyond any of its kind. I have had firsthand experience selling precious valuables to this company and began my journey with trepidation, not knowing what to expect. My fears were alleviated from the moment I spoke with the knowledgeable Anne Johnson. She is so friendly and wonderful to work with, I was immediately at ease. Within days, we had established a rapaport, my valuables were handled with care and explicit detail, evaluated with a full detailed report, an offer made, and the transaction completed. I had elected to have one valuable item returned to me, and they returned it promptly and in better condition than I had sent it in for evaluation. I was promptly paid as well. Spectacular!!! Really.. I did not know they purchased jewelry. Went in to sell a diamond and ended up selling them my diamond and lots of jewelry. They were more than fair on price as I had been to a few places to check prices. Excellent experience.

I just purchased a deal from Deal Chicken for MJ Gabel. They are offering a discount for Insurance appraisals for Jewelry items. It was a steal compared to what most places charge for an insurance appraisal. Mine was outdated and needed a more current one to update with my insurance company. I called ahead and scheduled an appointment with Anne (the gemologist that I assume writes the appraisals) and she had me in and out with a very detailed appraisal. I actually waited for it! What a FANTASTIC company. I was referred by a friend and was absolutely impressed with the professionalism and the transparency of how that operate. I had a very large diamond and was very nervous traveling with it let alone brining into an establishment. When they looked at my diamond they did not make me feel as if I were desperate to sell it. They outlined a few options that would allow me to be in control and also get more for my diamond. I trusted them and let them do what they do best. The results were simply delightful. I can understand being a bit skeptical of sending valuable jewelry to another state and wondering if you will ever hear of it again. Well with MJ Gabel you never have to wonder, you always are in the know. I was set up with a wonderful representative by the name of Anne and she was there every step of the way from answering questions, to emailing and calling about my package location, to options that my jewelry offered. There was no second guessing, I worked with only one person, and the results were better than I could hope for. Hesitant, and turned out very pleasant. I am from Texas, and found MJ Gabel online. Called, spoke to a diamond specialist. I was very hesitant on sending my 2.00ct diamond ring to them but took the chance. (Felt more comfortable after calling the BBB. They are accredited by them) When my diamond ring reached them they called me immediately to tell me it arrived safely. The best price I received locally out of 5 places was $7800. When MJ Gabel evaluated my diamond ring they offered me $9200, and then told me that it could get more in their diamond auction. I held off on their $9200 offer and had them auction the diamond for me. After the auction (ended up getting a little more) I received $9386 for my diamond. They also paid me another $228 for my setting. They made it so easy and gave me a few choices. They were honest and knew the value of my pieces. Like I said, very pleasant. My sister was waiting to see my outcome before sending her 2 diamond pieces.

Very pleasant. Anne had wrote an appraisal for my wife's diamond ring. She was very thorough and accurate with the whole process. Pricing was very fair. I am very pleased with the appraisal, the time it took and the accuracy of her evaluation.

"You are not getting the best price on your diamond unless you are going to MJ Gabel" I have sold 2 diamonds with them in the past 18 months. Most recent was in Jan 2013. It was a diamond ring from my mother whom had passed. The time before that was July of 2011 after a divorce. I had a great experience both times.

I really appreciated the personal experience I had with this company. I did not want to sell my diamond ring to a large corporate organization and get lost in the shuffle. My consultant remembered my name, my diamond, and where it came from. I would highly recommend them above any jeweler or other company offering to buy diamonds.

I am an attorney that handles estates. I never leave reviews or write about any service or business, but felt that I should for this outfit. It was refreshing to see a business that still has values, morals, integrity and customer service. I am 65yrs old and have been an attorney for 35years. I have dealt with many companies through the years. These folks have it together. I was dealing with a another out fit who always handled my diamond jewelry for my estate cases. I wanted a second opinion on the pieces I was handling for a client. I called them up, set up an appointment. To make a long story short, they have earned all my business. I was blown away at the level of professionalism, transparency, and skill they have in the business. 5-Stars.
I met Matt with MJ Gabel through some friends. I had an old engagement ring that I had been trying to sell of a few months. All the places I went to had given me (what I had thought) a VERY LOW PRICE... When I met Matt, and he was telling me what his company does and how maybe he could help. He gave me his card and I called him to view my stone. After a half hour conversation I had decided to go with their diamond auction.. I am so glad I did. The best offer I received locally was $1200 for my diamond. That's the best offer from several places that I had visited. Going through MJ Gabel diamond auction service brought me just over $2,000 for my ring. Thanks guys. You really went above and beyond. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!
