I give 2 stars as Aspen, who helped us open the account was very nice and helpful. However, this bank seems to have their overdraft policies set up in a way to confuse and just to incur fees. I opened a new business account (what I thought I was told was linked to a personal account and wrote a temporary check from the wrong one and even though I was monitoring the balances these overdrafts were charged over and over but did not even show up for 4 days after the fact. I called and was told a manger, Greta would call back but she never did. Finally after calling multiple times I spoke to the Manger and told that this would not be fully reimbursed due to it not being a bank error. It was just due to the Labor day holiday and my misunderstanding of how the accounts worked. I assumed they would take into consideration the circumstances and reverse these fees but they did not and that they were a bank who valued their customers and would give considerations but they are not.
TD Bank Steals from customers! TD Bank Weaverville has on several occasions signed me up for overdraft "protection" without my consent. They have told me that they have a right to do this, as well as to re-order debits so as to maximize fees. I am not alone in being a victim of their practice of charging overdraft fees on occasions when I was not overdrawn. In fact, No matter how careful you are about never over spending, you will fall into their trap of ever increasing fees and penalties. Avoid TD Bank at all costs.
