- Veterinary SurgeryDr. White, a native of Black Mountain NC, earned biology and environmental studies degrees from Montreat College and in 2014, was awarded her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tennessee. Go Vols! After graduation, Dr. White spent one year practicing mixed-animal medicine before deciding to focus exclusively on companion animals. In 2015, she joined a busy, well-established small animal practice near Atlanta where she honed her skills in small animal surgery, internal medicine, dentistry, and preventive medicine. Dr. White is very excited to be moving back to the mountains to join our team here at Mountain Animal Hospital. She is currently owned by an adorable Chihuahua mix named Peg, two feisty rabbits, Huck and Sawyer, and an opinionated parakeet named Mojito.
