She has worked bedside nursing prior to advancing her practice. “I love having bedside nursing experience before becoming a practitioner. I understand both roles which helps my team and patients”. Bethany has been practicing in rural health as a Nurse Practitioner for the past year. Prior to joining Weatherford OB/GYN, she worked in a critical access hospital covering many roles including inpatient, clinic, and ER. She looks forward to working in Women’s Health. “As a woman, I can understand my patients concerns and needs. I enjoy helping provide women with education about their bodies throughout the lifespan. A colleague once told me that knowledge is comfort and empowering. I find this to be true as a provider and patient!”.

  Dr. Stephen Stamatis, born in Houston and raised in Tomball, Texas, earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He attended Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine to earn his medical doctorate, and then completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. After completing residency, he and Dr. McBride established their practice in Weatherford in 2007.

  Dr. Mikes offers the full scope of women’s healthcare including reproductive health, prenatal care, obstetrical ultrasound, contraceptive counseling, urodynamic testing and preventative counseling. She has a particular interest in gynecological surgery.

  Michelle graduated from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, School of Physician Assistant Studies. Her first experience as a Physician Assistant (PA) was in Neurosurgery. When she started her family, she took a leave from Neurosurgery, but continued her work in the field as an adjunct professor at the UT Southwestern School of Physician Assistant Studies. When she returned to clinical practice in 2000, she entered Women’s Health, where she has been ever since.

  Dr. Stamatis is an active member of the medical staff at Medical City Weatherford. He is known for bringing a high level of personal care to every patient and his dedication and experience are apparent in all of his interactions. Dr. Stamatis is highly skilled in operative laparoscopy, operative hysteroscopy, and pelvic reconstruction surgery. He also has a special interest in sterilization and endometrial ablation performed in the office setting. He places a high priority on individualized, timely, and accurate delivery of comprehensive healthcare services.

  Dr. Stamatis and Dr. McBride were colleagues in residency and have continued on establishing their private practice in Weatherford, Texas. Dr. McBride has been in private practice since 2009. She is an active member of the staff at Medical City Weatherford. Dr. McBride has special interests in adolescent/teen care, natural hormone management for perimenopause/menopause, incontinence and other gynecologic surgeries (including in office endometrial ablations). Surgical interests include, pelvic floor reconstruction for prolapse and bladder incontinence, operative laparoscopy, and vaginal surgery. Dr. McBride's husband tells others that what sets her apart in her field is her “big heart”. Her patient’s personal time and schedule is important. She placed a high priority on giving individualized, timely, and comprehensive care.
