I was misdiagnosed by Dr. Banks as having bone spurs and arthritis on the top of my foot. He injected the top of my foot with cortisone and said he could always cut the bone spurs out if I wanted. I explained the foot pain began after strenuous exercise done for fitness. I walked around in pain for several months until finally going to an orthopedic surgeon. An MRI showed stress fractures in several bones. I've now been on a walker for a month having had my normal life disrupted for approx. four months at this point. I've been told not to put any weight on it until healing occurs.
