I would give this place 0 stars if I could.They charged us $5 for a key deposit, though why anyone would want to run off with the key, is beyond me.
Upon arrival there was a TV sitting on the porch. My daughter said she sure hoped it was not the one for our room. Upon entry into the room, there was a horrible musty smell with possible mold like smells. There was a huge cockroach crawling across the wall. The room did have a working TV, however the remote did not work for the TV at all. You had to cut it on/off and adjust the volume on the TV buttons. The remote did change the channels. The WIFI was sporadic at best. The towels were old and threadbare and and the pillow cases were yellowed from age. I did not turn the bed spread down, after seeing the roaches, I was afraid of bed bugs. The toilet was in a small enclosure that myself, being an above average size lady, would have had to back into to sit with no room to maneuver. The carpet looked dirty, it was certainly old.
There was no way we could stay the night. Since the receipt said no refunds, (probably for good reason as no one in the right mind would want to stay) we did not even try. We just left and went on to Staunton and found another motel.
I found out later there have been two murders there. One in 2012 and one in 2016. Their receipt also says they are not responsible for personal injury, loss of money,jewelry or valuables of any kind.
My word of advice STAY AWAY!
