Radian Group is a provider of credit enhancement for worldwide financial and capital markets. Radian has more than 1,200 employees in the United States and the United Kingdom. Radian is a group of companies separately capitalized but sharing a unified strategic focus on credit enhancement. The other companies include Radian Asset Assurance, which offers solutions for a variety of asset classes including asset-backed securities, collateralized debt obligations and mortgage-backed securities; Radian Financial Products Limited, which offers a range of derivatives-based solutions for clients in the United Kingdom and throughout the European Union; Radian Guaranty, which provides mortgage insurance to protect lenders against loan default and enables homebuyers to purchase homes quickly and with smaller down payments; and Radian Insurance, which writes nontraditional mortgage insurance for second and high-loan-to-value mortgages. Sanford A. Ibrahim has been the chief executive officer of the Radian Group for more than one year. Ibrahim earned a bachelor s degree from Osmania University (India) and a master s from the Wharton School. Radian Group is headquartered in Philadelphia.
