Ryerson Elementary School is a learning center that has a staff of approximately 45 full-time certified teachers and paraprofessionals that includes learning consultants, psychologists, social workers, reading coaches, speech and language pathologists, art and music professionals, and occupational and physical therapists. It organizes various after-school enrichment and support programs. In addition, the school hosts several art exhibitions, Read Across America Days, and family literacy and fun nights. Ryerson Elementary School supports character education, cultural enrichment, environmental beautification and conflict resolution programs. It provides educational classes to more than 300 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Ryerson Elementary School is a part of the Wayne Township School District, which has a combined enrollment of nearly 8,700 students in over 10 schools.
