MY WIFE AND I ENJOY EATTING HERE VERY MUCH. THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT THE STAFF IS NEVER PUSHY. WE ARE NOT FANS OF SUSHI BUT HAVE HEARD IT IS VERY GOOD AS WELL. WE HAVE COME AS LATE AS 9PM &AS EARLY AS 5:30PM AND THE STAFF IS ALWAYS FRIENDLY. GREAT MEALS AND GOOD TIMES

I also enjoy this restuurant, however I find the seating to be tight. I've been a customer here for close to 20 years, as well as many Japanese Steak Houses in NYC. Izumi rates among the best, but not the best ever. The parking is very difficult if not impossible and the ugly 'Bates Motel' 50 yards to its back North corner is uninviting to say the least. This rules out bringing any high end clients. Watching the cook flipping prawns into the top of his chefs hat gets old after awhile, but it's still fkind of fun to see. Staying now with the the food: 5/5.

One of the best Habatchi Steak houses we have ever been to. Fun chefs, awesome food, quick service. We only go for special occassions during the year, but it is the kids first choice every time. They love the salad dressing and the soup that comes with the dinner. Not cheap cost is about $200 for the 5 in our family and 3 of those are children. We have not tried the sushi, but I have heard that it is excellent. We would not hesistate to recommend this restaurant. Enjoy!
