- EndoscopyEndoscopy is a powerful diagnostic tool for digestive diseases. It is used to diagnose, and sometimes treat, conditions that affect the esophagus, stomach and beginning of the small intestine. Any polyps found can be immediately removed during the procedure. Helicobacter pylori is a fairly common infection in the lining of the stomach which can cause severe inflammation and even ulceration and it's difficult to diagnose accurately. When necessary we can now utilize new DNA testing to accurately make this diagnosis and prescribe appropriate treatment.

- Thyroid
- UltrasoundTreatment depends on the type of thyroid nodule you have. Most thyroid conditions never require surgery. If a biopsy shows that you have a benign thyroid nodule, in many cases you may need to do nothing more than monitor the nodules every 6 to 12 months for changes. This can easily be done with an in office ultrasound. For patients with indeterminate thyroid nodules, we utilize state-of-the-art DNA testing, which greatly improves preoperative diagnostic accuracy by reviewing DNA and RNA based markers to aid in the characterization of malignancy. Thyroid operations are advised for patients who have a variety of thyroid conditions, including both cancerous and benign (non-cancerous) thyroid nodules, large thyroid glands (goiters), and overactive thyroid glands.
- ChemotherapyLumpectomy refers to the surgical removal of a small tumor, which may be benign or cancerous. Lumpectomy, often with chemotherapy or radiation therapy, can be an alternative to mastectomy in cases of nonmetastatic.
