The Jail has a capacity of more than 100 people. It is managed by the Waushara County Sheriff's Department, which is governed by Waushara County in Wisconsin. The department is responsible for providing protection solutions for residents and visitors. The Waushara County Sheriff's Department also manages an emergency management office. The department handles murder, aggravated assault, forcible rape, robbery, burglary and motor vehicle theft cases, as well as provides more than 1,500 free firearm safety kits to local residents. In addition, it manages Crime Stoppers, which is a program that fights against crime. The department provides tips for avoiding deer collision.
