The John C. Burke Correctional Center is spread across an area of more than 10 acres. The center has a capacity to house over 200 female inmates. It maintains a work force of nearly 50 employees. The John C. Burke Correctional Center provides Work release, educational and community Service programs. The center supports the Alternative to Revocation Program. In addition, it provides behavioral intervention and alcohol and drug treatment solutions. The John C. Burke Correctional Center is a part of the Wisconsin Correctional Center System, which operates a network of approximately 10 minimum-security facilities, including the St. Croix Correctional Center and the Thompson Correctional Center in Wisconsin.
